EdD

The Educational Doctorate in Professional Practice prepares the candidate to bring both theory and praxis into their specific area of educational practice. This program was developed by the faculty of the Helen DeVos College of Education along with Local Education Agency (LEA) partners to give candidates the skills and dispositions to impact education administration, policy, and instruction. This includes understanding the nature of change, the relational aspects of administration, and the leading of an organization that is constantly in flux. Analytical data skills and current assessment techniques are foundational to the degree.

Courtney Peterson

Courtney Peterson is an exercise science major from Knoxville, Tennessee. She values the friendships she has made at Lee and getting to be around other Christians who want to use their degree to honor God. “I love how the professors really care about pouring into us and make an effort to connect faith and health in my major.” Courtney has served on staff at the school’s recreation center and currently works as a personal trainer at Southside Fitness in town.  After graduation, Courtney plans to be a personal trainer and get further certifications in nutrition and tactical strength and conditioning before eventually opening her own ministry-focused gym.
