Employee Profile

Dr. Lynda Bowers is an assistant professor of sport management at Lee. She earned her PhD in coaching and teaching studies at West Virginia University with an emphasis in organizational leadership. As a long-tenured soccer coach, including 10 years at the collegiate level, she is a continuous learner of sport coaching and sport management. Bowers’ interest in coaching education and development is the driving force in her research. She believes in the integration of sport coaching and sport management as it pertains to advancing the coaching profession. Bowers is also a certified exercise physiologist through the American College of Sport Medicine and has taught courses across the kinesiology continuum. Her extra time is often spent coaching, mentoring young coaches, and serving in her local church in music and children’s ministry.
