Lee University’s Master of Arts in Teaching provides a pathway to initial teacher licensure in elementary, secondary, or special education while completing graduate coursework toward a master’s degree. Students who complete the program and meet all standardized testing requirements may be eligible for licensure through the Tennessee Department of Education.
Program Highlights
- Credit hours: 38-42*
- Flexible start dates: Choose to enroll in the 14-month program that begins in June or the 18-month program beginning in the spring or fall.
- Hands-on experience: Complete two internships or job-embedded clinical experiences in varied educational settings.
*Additional coursework may be required based on the student’s transcript evaluation.
