Dr. Laura Anderson became a member of the Lee University faculty in 1996 after a career as an elementary school teacher in her home state of South Carolina. She teaches courses which prepare elementary and early childhood majors for a career in the classroom and received Lee’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 2013. Anderson has also led numerous cross-cultural trips with Lee students to Alaska and Russia. Her specialty is researching gender differences in learning to read. Laura and husband Andy reside in Cleveland where they attend Mount Olive Church of God.
