The NEW Master degree is accepting applicants for the Summer 2018 cohort. This application process is on a rolling admission cycle. Early admission is January 1, 2018. The master degree seeks to provide a place for 12 new graduate students each year.Lee University (LU) offers a Professional Master’s Degree in Athletic Training (MS in AT) that is currently seeking CAATE accreditation through the substantive change process. Any student who has completed a bachelor’s degree from Lee University or a regionally accredited four-year institution with a GPA close to 3.0, and has completed the pre-requisite courses and admission requirements listed below are eligible for application acceptance into our Professional Master’s Degree. Currently, we do not require a specific undergraduate degree for program admission, but a strong background in basic sciences is desirable.

Once a student has completed the entire application process then those students will be invited for an interview on campus. Campus visits are highly encouraged prior to completion of the application process. A couple of open house dates will be available in the Fall semester prior to starting classes in the summer. The MS in AT is a full-time, 2-year program, including a summer, that provides athletic training students with an effective blend of evidence-based didactic information, clinical experiences for skill and theory integration, and exposure to a variety of practice settings for athletic trainers. The program thoroughly addresses compliance with CAATE accreditation standards, which allows our graduates to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC). Please check the AT Program Handbook, LU catalog, and the Centralized Athletic Training Application Services (ATCAS) website for the most current and up-to-date information.

An announcement to all prospective students:
Please note that as of Sept 20, 2016, students will no longer be able to declare athletic training as a major at Lee University as an undergraduate student. Furthermore, undergraduate students must have been enrolled at the University during the 2015-16 academic year to be eligible for application and successful completion of all program and major requirements.
