Tharp Hall

Tharp Hall is located at the heart of campus on the Pedestrian Mall. Residents enjoy close proximity to classroom buildings, the Deacon Jones Dining Hall, and the Paul Conn Student Union. Four students occupy a two-bedroom suite with a shared bathroom. The bathrooms include a toilet and a combination bathtub-shower. Each bedroom has two extra-long twin beds, two desks with chairs, two to three closets, and a sink/vanity. Each floor of this three-story building has its own coin/card-operated laundry facility and a TV lounge area complete with furniture, a television, and a community kitchen. The community kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave, and a stove/oven. A unique feature of Tharp Hall is that it is connected by a hallway to Nora Chambers and Simmons Hall.

Community Outreach

This will be the 6th year that the lovely ladies of Cross and Tharp Halls will be proudly serving Project: Free2Fly, a local organization that seeks to support, nurture, and empower women. Project: Free2Fly teaches local women the trade of sewing and provides mentorship, care, and an avenue for earning an income. Our students will have the opportunity to volunteer through service days at their store front, working with their annual fundraiser, and other various avenues throughout the year. Meet the Resident Director: Faith James

During my undergrad at Lee, Residential Life and Housing played a key role in my spiritual development, my academic success, and my college experience as a whole. Being away from home for the first time comes with a lot of challenges and unknowns. A student’s dorm can serve as a safe space for them to build community, embrace change, and grow in unexpected ways. I’m passionate about serving students in this beautiful season of life in the same way others did for me during my time at Lee!
