Simmons Hall is conveniently located on the Pedestrian Mall next to the Deacon Jones Dining Hall. Residents enjoy close proximity to classroom buildings, the Science and Math Complex, and the DeVos Student Recreation Complex. Each bedroom contains two extra-long twin beds, two chests of drawers, two desks with chairs, two closets, and a sink/vanity. Students have access to a furnished TV lounge and community kitchen on each floor. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and a stove/oven, and cabinet space. Renovated community bathrooms and showers, along with coin/card-operated laundry facilities, are also located on each floor. A unique feature of Simmons Hall is that it is connected by a hallway to Nora Chambers and Tharp Hall.

Meet the Resident Director: Gracie Alldredge Pugh

What a joy and privilege it is to return to Residential Life and Housing. My passion for residence life began when I served as a Resident Assistant in college, where I discovered my desire to participate in student development, community cultivation, and cross campus connectivity. I truly believe that life is better connected; on campus this starts on our hallways. College is such a formative season, and I am grateful for the opportunity to walk with students as they navigate college and all that this season has to offer. My hope is to help cultivate an honest and authentic community, within the hall, where students feel known, supported, and encouraged to discover all they were created to be. I am so expectant for all that is in store for Cross Hall this year! “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24/25
