Since my freshman year here at Lee, I have wanted to be a Resident Director. I believe being in this role is a unique way to provide holistic care to students, no matter what they are walking through in their college years. As an RD, my goal is to see each student as the unique and special person God has made them to be, and to support them and love them as such. It is such a gift to provide intentional community and spaces for self-growth within the walls of Sharp-Davis, to challenge students as they grow and prepare them to navigate the complex world we live in today. I love being able to sit with students in the big moments, but I also find so much joy to sit with them in the little things and getting to know them throughout the year. Our theme for this year is Place of Belonging, and it is my prayer that each person in Sharp-Davis knows they belong, exactly as they are. It is a joy to get to be in the lives of these college students as they learn who they are and who God has called them to be. It is a gift to work so closely with students, and I cannot wait for the year ahead!
