I am beyond hyped to kick off the 2026–2027 school year with you! Listen, college is easily one of the most dynamic, chaotic, and incredible seasons of your life. New Hughes is built to be way more than just a spot to crash, study, and stash your snacks—this is where real community happens, late-night lobby debates thrive, and lifelong memories are locked in. A little about me: I’m from the Midwest, earned my undergrad at UMaine, and I'm currently finishing up my master’s in organizational leadership (which basically means I’m professionally trained to help you navigate life, stay organized, and not lose your mind this semester!). I became an RD because I am genuinely passionate about mentoring students through this wild college journey. My favorite part of this job is watching scholars step into their purpose, level up as leaders, and realize just how capable they are.

Our game plan this year is rooted in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, which is a holy way of saying we are here to encourage one another, build each other up, and refuse to let anyone walk through this year alone. We are building intentional community one resident, one relationship, and one legacy at a time. 

Whether we’re competing in hall traditions, running high-energy programs, or just talking through life in the hallway, this year is stacked with potential. Lock in, get excited, welcome home, and Keep Looking Up!
