Meet the Resident Director: Lexi Walker
I come to this role with a deep appreciation for the season of life many of our residents living in Carroll Court are in, one that often includes balancing academics, work, relationships, and family life all at once. My path into residential life has been shaped largely through lived experience. I lived in a residence hall as the spouse of an RD while raising young children and finishing my undergraduate degree. This gave me a firsthand understanding of the beauty, challenges, and importance of intentional community. Now, as both a graduate student and a parent, I bring a family-centered and student-centered lens to this role. I care deeply about creating a community that feels welcoming, supportive, and human. A place where people from all walks of life feel known and valued. Apartment living can feel isolating, especially in busy seasons, so my hope is that this community offers connection, care, and a sense of belonging. A place that each resident knows they belong here, exactly as they are, and feels supported as they grow in this season of life.
