These faculty are passionate about developing relationships with students to guide and inform their experience. They distinguish themselves in several important ways: energetic involvement in cross-cultural opportunities; a sincere interest in diversity and the acceptance and promotion of differences; a determination to prepare teachers to a rigorous standard, which they approach from a deep well of experience in professional classroom teaching; and broad theoretical knowledge combined with the ability to practically apply it in the classroom. They are expert educators with not only academic credentials but also real-world experience, from former superintendents, principals, and teachers to seasoned professional athletic trainers with at least fifteen years of clinical experience, to exercise science faculty with decades of teaching experience and certification in personal training and strength and conditioning. But in all areas, our professors create opportunities for students to do hands-on projects in the community that bridge the classroom to real-life - it’s simply a great way to learn.
