Christian Edwards

Admissions Counselor

Hey! My name is Christian Edwards, but you can just call me CJ. I graduated from Lee with a Bachelor of Science in Theological Studies in 2024. I am originally from Orange, New Jersey but Cleveland has made a southerner out of this Jersey boy. I am so glad you are considering Lee University to be your home for the next few years.

Lee has been my greatest blessing. Throughout my time here, I have had the privilege of getting involved in many different aspects of campus life. I had the opportunity to travel and sing with the Voices of Lee, our university’s acapella group. I served as the Vice President of the Black Student Union where my leadership skills were refined, and I was a part of Sigma Nu Sigma where I developed my ability to serve and love others well. Lee was the place where I was stretched and challenged to better. My favorite thing about Lee is the opportunity to find genuine community. I’ve been poured into by my professors and the staff and have made life-long connections with students and faculty alike. I am so honored that my Lee Story is not over, and I get to pour back into the place that made me who I am.

I cannot wait to assist you in this part of your Lee Story, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Admissions Counselor for South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia

Hello! My name is Zach Copeland, and I am the Admissions Counselor for South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia. I am so excited that you have considered Lee University, and I would love to help guide you as you begin the admissions journey.

I am originally from Waverly, GA and started my Lee experience in the fall of 2020. I recently graduated from Lee with a Bachelor of Science in Youth Ministry. I am now a graduate student in the Master of Ministry Program here at Lee. When I am not working, I like to fish, hike, camp, spend time by the lake, and wander through McKay’s bookstore.

During my time at Lee, I have met some of my greatest friends and mentors. I have also had the opportunity to serve as a School of Theology and Ministry peer mentor for two years. Some of my fondest memories at Lee are of playing intramural sports, discovering new hiking spots, and getting breakfast with professors.

I look forward to talking with you soon and helping walk with you as you navigate the college admissions process!

Emily's Bio   Transfer Students - Lee University

Hello!  My name is Emily Makowski, and I am the Admissions Counselor for transfer students.  I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but I have completely fallen in love with TN and know without a doubt that Lee is exactly where I was meant to be.

In December 2021, I graduated from Lee with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a double minor in Biblical Studies and Business Administration.  During my time as a student, I was given the opportunity to grow in several different areas.  I had the honor of being a member of Delta Zeta Tau which taught me about true sacrifice and service.  I also had the privilege to be a small piece of Lee’s largest traveling vocal ensemble, Campus Choir, where my love for the Lord and music collided to produce some of the most impactful spiritual experiences, I have ever been a part of.  Both communities provided opportunities to serve my community, grow in my walk with Christ, develop leadership, and create friendships that will last forever.

Overall, Lee has challenged, stretched, equipped, and encouraged me far more than I ever could have imagined.  My spiritual, academic, and social experience as a student provided me with new perspectives, fostered an attitude of expectancy, and continuously pointed me back to the Father.  I would not be the same person I am now without my Lee story, and I cannot wait to walk alongside you as you start yours!  Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

TJ's Introduction  International Admissions - Lee University

Indonesia and I moved to Cleveland, Tennessee to be a student at Lee. I fell in love with this school, and I love telling people about my experience here, especially to international students like you!

I graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Business. I learned so much within the School of Music and grew exponentially in my musical abilities. I also learned a lot about the music industry, and what it takes to be a singer-songwriter. I was involved in Campus Choir, which is the largest and oldest vocal ensemble at Lee. We got to travel all over the country and the world, leading churches to worship in Spirit and in truth. Being a part of this choir meant that I could combine my love for music with my love for the Lord, which was an opportunity I could not pass up. I learned how to be a better believer, worshipper, and ambassador for Christ. I also made lifelong friends and found a community that pushed me to be better.

Lee is a one-of-a-kind place, that will change your life if you let it. Whether that’s through your growth in your learning, the amazing professors, clubs/organizations, or the strong spiritual emphasis, Lee has something to offer everybody. I can truly say that Lee has impacted me in more ways than I know, and I can’t imagine what my life would look like if I hadn’t come here as a student. Lee has pushed, equipped, and built me to become the best version of myself. This institution will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to help you see for yourself what Lee can do for you. I would love to answer any questions that you have about the international admissions process!
