Hello! My name is Emily Makowski, and I am the Admissions Counselor for Bradley County and Dual Enrollment students. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but I have completely fallen in love with TN and know without a doubt that Lee is exactly where I was meant to be.
In December 2021, I graduated from Lee with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a double minor in Biblical Studies and Business Administration. During my time as a student, I was given the opportunity to grow in several different areas. I had the honor of being a member of Delta Zeta Tau which taught me about true sacrifice and service. I also had the privilege to be a small piece of Lee’s largest traveling vocal ensemble, Campus Choir, where my love for the Lord and music collided to produce some of the most impactful spiritual experiences, I have ever been a part of. Both communities provided opportunities to serve my community, grow in my walk with Christ, develop leadership, and create friendships that will last forever.
Overall, Lee has challenged, stretched, equipped, and encouraged me far more than I ever could have imagined. My spiritual, academic, and social experience as a student provided me with new perspectives, fostered an attitude of expectancy, and continuously pointed me back to the Father. I would not be the same person I am now without my Lee story, and I cannot wait to walk alongside you as you start yours! Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

Hello! My name is Noah Graves, and I am the admissions counselor for the Midwest and Pacific Northwest regions of the United States. This includes Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. My goal is to help you in any way I can as you consider Lee University as an option for your college experience.
I was born and raised in the Memphis, Tennessee area but moved to Cleveland in August of 2018 to begin my college experience here at Lee. Three and a half years later, in December of 2021, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry. Throughout my time at Lee, I have been impacted and transformed in more ways than I ever imagined. Upon arriving on campus, I immediately became involved in my residence hall, Bowdle O’Bannon hall. As a freshman, I led weekly small groups in the dorm and then served as a Resident Chaplain in the same dorm when I was a sophomore. In my junior and senior y ears as a student, I became more involved as a student ambassador in our admissions office and built strong relationships with my professors through engaging in my coursework more intentionally. These activities, and many more, contributed to my transformational Lee experience.
The three and a half years I spent at Lee were the most incredible years of my life. I made friends with some of the kindest and most welcoming individuals, I was challenged academically through intentional professors who desired to get to know me as a friend and push me to go above the bare minimum. I experienced a Christian community where fellow believers came together to lift each other up in the most difficult seasons. Because of Lee, I have a home away from home, and I am forever grateful for the connections I have made here that will last a lifetime.
I understand that making your college decision is extremely important and requires much thought and prayer. My goal, however, is to stand by your side throughout the entire process and answer any questions or doubts that may arise as you navigate making this important selection. Hey! My name is Logan Byrd, and I am the Admission Counselor for Middle and West Tennessee, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and New Mexico. I would love to be able to answer any questions that you may have about Lee University and specifically the admissions process.
I am originally from Baldwin, NY, but am most recently from Atlanta, GA. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Youth Ministry right here at Lee in 2018. Lee was not in my original plan for college; however, I realized there was a much higher calling for me. During my time at Lee, I was involved with a small portion of what Lee has to offer. I had the opportunity to be involved in CRU and their leadership team along with interning at a local church's youth ministry.
I enjoyed every aspect of my time at Lee University. I have many great memories from my years as a student and made friendships that I know will last forever. Lee is a safe place that allows and encourages healthy growth spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. You will find that professors here at Lee are genuine and caring as they go beyond just being educators and often become mentors and close friends.
I would love to share more about Lee with you! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions or would like to talk through how you can become a Lee student.

I graduated from Lee University in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing Management. Although I came to Lee only knowing one person, this school quickly became a place that I now call home.
During my time at Lee, I had the privilege of being a part of the Lee University Singers and the service-based Greek club, Delta Zeta Tau. Both of these communities brought many service opportunities, lifelong friendships, and memories that I will cherish for a lifetime.

Hello! My name is Noah Pickelsimer and I am the admissions counselor for students from the state of Georgia. I am beyond excited to assist you in the admissions process here at Lee!
I am from Murfreesboro, TN and graduated from Lee in 2021. Lee University has been a life changing experience for me along with many other students who step foot on this campus. This institution has challenged me in many ways academically and spiritually.
I was given the privilege to serve as a Resident Assistant in Medlin Hall for two years during my time as a student and it was the best part of my experience at Lee. I had the opportunity to create an immense number of memories through dorm life that helped shape such a rich college experience! My time as an RA allowed me to be a mentor in the lives of many freshmen guys which was so rewarding.
The professors on this campus also showed me time and time again their intentionality in relationships with both me and other students. This was a blessing for me as a student as I was able to get to know them and feel more comfortable asking for help both academically and personally. With my professors’ guidance, I was encouraged to pursue a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy through Lee University’s graduate program.
I know your college choice is a big decision and will take some time, but I am fully prepared to walk alongside you as you make your college choice. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns! I look forward to talking with you!
Hello! My name is Alex Hooker and I am the Admissions Counselor for East Tennessee. I am ecstatic that you are considering Lee University and would love to assist you through the admissions process!
I am originally from Dalton, Georg ia and I came to Lee in 2017 and graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Discipleship Ministry with a Business Administration Minor in December of 2021. Before coming to Lee, I had never heard about Lee until the summer before my senior year of high school. I was growing significantly in my faith at the time and the Lord led me to a church comprised of several Lee alumni. Through church I got connected to Lee and attended a U-Church right before my senior year began. From the moment I stepped onto campus I felt the Lord's presence and knew that Lee was my home for the next few years. Lee was the only school I applied to and never looked back after I was accepted. The four and a half years that would follow would be some of the most life changing years where the presence of God has been so evident.
During my time at Lee, I had the honor of serving in several incredible roles. My sophomore year I was given the opportunity to serve as a Resident Assistant in the Bowdle-O'Bannon freshman dorm. My junior and senior years, I had the opportunity to participate in the Greek service clubs Tau Kappa Omega and Epsilon Lambda Phi. Additionally, I served as a peer mentor for incoming freshman students in both my junior and senior years. All these roles paired with my Discipleship Ministry undergraduate degree gave me a wholistic and enriching college experience.
Choosing the right college is a major decision for anyone. Lee has been a place of so much growth and transformation for me and I look forward to helping you write your Lee story!

It’s so awesome you’re interested in coming to Lee University! Throughout your college search process, I would love to help you with any and all things related to Lee and admissions!
I am originally from McKinney, Texas, but lived in Frederick, Maryland for the majority of my life. I came to Lee in the fall of 2016 and graduated in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications with an advertising emphasis. For me, coming to Lee was an easy decision. My older siblings attended Lee and there was something about Lee that naturally felt like home. Lee became the place I needed in my life to not only succeed academically, but also to strive spiritually. It also opened doors for so many incredible opportunities.
As student, I had the honor of being a member of the Evangelistic Singers. The group gave me an opportunity to play on many different stages throughout the U.S. and even in the Dominican Republic. Those experiences allowed me to develop my faith with God and go deeper with Him. I was also involved in some of the chapel bands and ministered with a lot of amazing people I now call friends.
I can say with confidence that Lee gave me so much more than what I deserved and expected. It gave me life-long friendships, unforgettable moments, and most importantly, a chance for a deeper relationship with God. I am beyond thankful to call Lee my home away from home. I am excited to see where your Lee journey will take you! If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me.
