Programs in the School of Engineering
The Wright School of Engineering and Computer Science at Lee University prepares students to pursue knowledge with wisdom, excellence, and a Christ-centered purpose. Rooted in Lee’s Christian liberal arts tradition, we believe mathematics provides a strong foundation for engineering, computer science, data science, and other quantitative disciplines. Through rigorous coursework, hands-on learning, research, and close faculty mentorship, students develop the knowledge, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills needed to address complex challenges. Faculty integrate faith and learning, encouraging students to see their disciplines through the lens of Christian truth and use their abilities in service to God and others. We develop graduates who are professionally prepared, intellectually capable, spiritually grounded, and equipped to lead and serve with wisdom, integrity, and purpose.
The Computer Science program (CMPSC.BS) prepares students for careers in computing as well as for graduate study in computer science. The program focuses on providing programming experience, theoretical analysis, and mathematical rigor.
Our 4-year degree in Engineering Science prepares students broadly as future practicing engineers. Our engineering coursework covers the fundamental engineering concepts and provides opportunities for students to utilize their learning in service to their community. The goal of this program is to produce well-rounded Engineering students that are prepared for industry or graduate studies in specialized fields of engineering.
Engineering Science (EGRSC.BS)
The mathematics programs (MATHS.BA, MATHS.BS, MATAS.BS) prepare students for graduate school and careers in research, statistics, actuarial science and other applied fields.
Mathematics (MATHS.BA)
Mathematics (MATHS.BS)
Mathematics, Actuarial Science Emphasis (MATAS.BS)
The mathematics education program (MATHS.BST) prepares graduates for initial employment as mathematics teachers in middle and secondary schools and entrance to graduate schools. The program emphasizes critical thinking, problem solving, and development of curriculum and pedagogical skills.
