Lee University offers a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), a terminal degree that prepares graduates to practice at the highest level of nursing and lead change through translational research. Our program provides the convenience of online courses with authentic and attentive support from faculty, including annual on-campus intensive sessions designed for student success. Students benefit from our distinctive programming related to rural, global and disaster healthcare, with the integration of a Christian worldview.
DNP tracks offered at Lee University:
- Family Nurse Practitioner (DNP-FNP) for post-BSN or post-MSN without APN certification
- Transformational Executive Nursing Leadership (DNP-TENL) for post-BSN or post-MSN
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) for post-MSN with APN certification

Doctor of Nursing Practice (Nurse.DNP)
- Develop knowledge and skills that will prepare you to lead evidence-based change and improve health outcomes in complex healthcare systems
- Designed for MSN-prepared APRNs with national certification as nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, certified nurse-midwife, or certified registered nurse anesthetist
- Complete your DNP in as few as 4 semesters of full-time study
Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner (NGFNP.DNP)
- Skill immersion opportunities in a state-of-the-art simulation lab with integration of telehealth
- Preparation for board certification as Family Nurse Practitioner
- Designed for students with BSN or MSN without national certification as APRN
- Complete your DNP in as few as 9 semesters of full-time study
Doctor of Nursing Practice, Transformational Executive Nursing Leadership (NTENL.DNP)
- Combine your passion for leadership with business expertise and learn how to leverage data to influence organizational decisions
- Designed for students with BSN or MSN
- Option to complete the MBA in conjunction with the DNP
- Students entering with BSN can complete the DNP-TENL in as few as 7 semesters of full-time study
- Students entering with MSN in administration, leadership, management or similar concentration can complete the DNP-TENL in as few as 5 semesters of full-time study
- Graduates of MSN programs other than those listed above will have an individualized plan of study
