Evangelistic Singers

Student President: Amber Cain
Club Sponsor: Gloria Scott-Richmond
The Evangelistic Singers (EVS) sing with a desire to worship in “spirit and in truth”. These young people sing with a fervor and zeal that expresses itself in high praise! Expressing their love for the Lord and recognizing His majesty is done with freedom and great joy. Voices and instruments are lifted in praise with the primary focus of giving glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. EVS is an ethnically diverse group of students who have been called to Lee University to study a variety of academic disciplines.

Emerging from an evangelistic preaching ministry in 1967, EVS has used the vehicle of song to maintain the emphasis of allowing God’s power to break every yoke with His anointing. EVS has a strong heritage of traditional and contemporary black gospel music as well as African American spirituals.

The ensemble has ministered extensively throughout the island nations of the Caribbean, Canada, and most of the United States. This dynamic ensemble has been called to minister at inner city outreaches, revival meetings, universities and K-12 schools, prisons, workshops, worship services, and worship festivals. The ensemble combines excellence in musicianship delivered with a powerful, heartfelt anointed sound. They minister with an energy and excitement that is contagious to all!
