Mary Dukes joined the Lee faculty in the fall of 1999 and was instrumental in the creation of the university's Digital Media Studies program. She has served as discipline coordinator for digital media for over 20 years in the Communication Arts Department. She received Lee's Excellence in Advising Award from in 2016. In addition to her teaching and administrative responsibilities, she maintains active professional involvement in independent music video and film productions. An avid sports and outdoors fan, when she’s not in the classroom or advising students, you will find Dukes and her family camping or cheering on Lee Flames athletic teams. She is married to Jonathan Dukes, a member of the Lee Counseling Staff, and they have one daughter, Sara-Allison. .
