Dr. Mark Scully joined Lee’s faculty in 2018 and specializes in American political institutions. He teaches classes in the American Presidency, Congress, and political parties. He also leads Lee’s public administration major. At Lee, Scully has expanded internship opportunities for Lee students in the local community. He directs Lee’s Mock Trial team, as well as Lee’s participation in the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature. Prior to Lee, he served as assistant professor of political science at the University of the Ozarks where he received the Bagwell Outstanding Faculty Award in 2016 and was listed in “40 Under 40: Professors Who Inspire” in 2015.
