Dr. John Hisey has been an assistant professor of biology at Lee since 1996. Before coming to Lee, Hisey was a professor and guest lecturer in China to several national and provincial institutions. He helped found and direct an internationally-staffed system of private schools in four Chinese provinces and was area coordinator for University Language Services, an organization placing instructors on Chinese campuses. His research focuses on species among the rodents and mid-sized predators that have become overabundant due to human development of the landscape in the southeastern United States.
