Distinguished Professor Dr. Dewayne Thompson has served as the chair of the Department of Business at Lee University from 2006 to 2017 and as dean of the School of Business since 2017. He has been listed in Who's Who Among America's Teachers and received Lee's prestigious Excellence in Teaching Award in 1987. In 2013 he was awarded the International Winner for Teaching Excellence by Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Thompson served as president of Southeastern Council of Business Schools and Programs and on various boards of directors such as Family Resource Agency, The Caring Place, and ATS, the Bridge.
