Voices of Lee to Present “Home for Christmas” Concert
The Lee University a cappella group Voices of Lee will present “Home for Christmas,” a concert featuring both secular and sacred songs, on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. in Pangle Hall.
“This is our gift to the community, and we’re so thrilled that so many are planning to attend,” said Danny Murray, director of Voices of Lee. “It will be a fun evening filled with A cappella Christmas Music!”
Voices of Lee is a 15-member ensemble characterized by a unique variety of lush vocal harmonies, along with high energy contemporary a cappella arrangements from several genres.
Voices has captivated audiences throughout the United States and worldwide, performing for Christmas at the White House in Washington D.C., for David Jeremiah’s Christmas on Broadway Spectacular at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, and at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. Their appearances have taken them from Israel to Ontario and numerous cities in the U.S., including many of the nation’s largest churches. Propelled into the international spotlight on the debut season of NBC’s Sing-Off, a competition for a cappella groups, Voices of Lee was selected as one of eight groups to compete and was featured on four primetime NBC network episodes.
The ensemble, voted 2018 “Favorite Collegiate Group,” “Favorite Religious Group,” and “Favorite Video” by the International A Cappella Music Awards’ voting audience, has recorded 17 CD projects and the group’s video recordings have exceeded 111 million views online.
Pangle Hall is located on the corner of Central and Church Street.
