U-Church to Host Planetshakers in Benefit Concert

News

Lee University will host the Australian Christian Worship band,
Planetshakers on Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Conn Center. The
performance will benefit Lee student Josh Owens, who was critically
injured in an automobile accident on Aug. 19. He has since been in
the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Erlanger Hospital and in the
Siskin Rehabilitation Center in Chattanooga.

“Lee University is a family that cares and one of our students
is in need,” shared VP for Administration Walt
Mauldin. “Therefore, during the Planetshakers concert, we will
provide an update on Josh Owens and ask everyone to give in a
love-offering for him and his family.”

Planetshakers formed in 1997 at Planetshakers City Church in
Melbourne, Australia, under the leadership of senior pastors
Russell and Sam Evans. Since 1997, Planetshakers has toured
extensively across the globe, in support of twenty albums.

“We believe God’s given us a mandate to bring breakthrough, to
bring a greater level of understanding about what the power and
presence of God can do in your life,” said band member Mike
Webber.

The Planetshakers US Tour will feature Israel Houghton, Jentezen
Franklin, Rich Wilkerson Jr., Joel Stockstill, and Paul
Daugherty.
