Twelve Students Win Scholarships During Lee Day:

As a conclusion to Lee Day festivities, Lee University presented 12 students with scholarships. Kelli Hubbard from Summertown, Tennessee, was awarded a $7,000 scholarship. Vionet Vazquez-Acosta from Cleveland, Tennessee, received a meal plan scholarship, valued at $5,340. The $3,000 scholarship winners included Paydence Hedrick, from Bassett, Viriginia; Caroline Owen, from Statesville, North Carolina; Jeremiah Perez, from Land O’ Lakes, Florida; Andrew (Parker) Reno, from Kimberly, Alabama;  Abigail Routien, from Bridgeview, Illinois; Strephon Stewart, from Barnesville, Georgia; and Palyn Sweet, from Radford, Virginia. Transfer students Kate Stroupes, from Cleveland, Tennessee; Calob Black, from Newnan, Georgia; and Jared Hopkins, also from Newnan, Georgia, received $3,000 scholarships, as well. Designed for prospective students and their families, the annual Lee Day event offers a glimpse into the unique mix of academics, clubs, cultures, and opportunities at Lee.
