Greene is a two-time Grammy nominee who performs original gospel music. He launched his recording career with his independent release, “The More.” Since then, he has received seven awards at the 2017 Stellar Awards, three Dove Awards, two Billboard Music awards and a Soul Train Award for his music.
He has also performed at the 2017 President’s Inaugural Ball; the ESSENCE Festival, an annual music festival in New Orleans; the Trumpet Awards, which recognizes the accomplishments of African American humanitarians; and BMI Trailblazers, an honors show for gospel music.
In 2016, Greene and his wife, Jacqueline, established Forward City Church in Columbia, South Carolina. He calls it, “a church for the unchurched and overchurched.” Greene has worked at Forward City Church as a youth pastor and worship director. While pastoring, he also embarked on a world tour to minister with his music.
“I simply want music to be my vehicle to inspire people and make them feel right about choosing God,” said Greene.
U-Church is a free, non-ticketed event for students, alumni, and the community. Seating is first come, first served.
