The Lee University Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Régulo Stabilito, will present its spring concert on Monday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall.

The performance, featuring the Concerto Competition undergraduate and graduate winners, will include compositions such as “Overture ‘La Gazza Ladra (The Thieving Magpie)’” by Gioachino Rossini, “Regnava nel Silenzzio” from Gaetano Donizetti’s “Lucia de Lamermoor,” and “Scottish Fantasy, op. 46” from Max Bruch’s “Finale: Allegro guerriero.”

The Symphony Orchestra is an ensemble of select instrumentalists who perform operatic, choral, and other major symphonic works.

Stabilito has accompanied renowned international soloists and made frequent appearances as a conductor for opera, orchestral, and ballet productions. He is also a permanent guest conductor in the Festival Latinoamericano de Música (Latin American Music Festival) in Caracas. He and his wife founded the Latin-American Music Initiative (LAMI), an organization that seeks to promote Latin American composers and their works.

This concert is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public. Livestream viewing will also be available at leeu.live.
