Lee University’s Symphonic Band will present its spring concert “All Glory to the King of Kings” on Monday, March 3, at 7:30 p.m. in The Conn Center, under the direction of Dr. Mark Bailey.

The program will feature concert band selections from Rossano Galante, David Holsinger, Jay Bocook, Bob Louden and Robert W Smith. They will also premiere a new work for concert band, “Heir of Salvation,” by Alexander Hutchins and an arrangement of “Amazing Grace” arranged by Michael Frazier in the early ‘90s.

The ensemble will also present contemporary worship arrangements of selections being performed during the group’s upcoming spring break tour to Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, including “That’s My King,” “Psalm 100: Enter In,” along with other selections.

The Lee Symphonic Band has developed a reputation as an outstanding performance ensemble that combines superior musicianship with a true sensitivity to the use of music as a vehicle to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“The Symphonic Band is characterized by its breadth of diverse performance styles done with a desire to play with excellence unto the Lord,” said Bailey.

The 2025 Symphonic Band is made up of 38 musicians, divided into winds, percussion, rhythm, and added string section and vocal ensemble.

Bailey currently serves in the School of Music as a professor of music. He has advanced training with some of the nation’s best wind conductors, including Eugene Corporon, North Texas University, Myron Welch, and the University of Iowa. He is a past president of the Christian Instrumentalists and Directors Association.

This event is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public. Livestream viewing will be available at leeu.live/
