Summer Camps Take Place at Lee
Lee University is home to a wide variety of summer camps hosted by Lee personnel in which community youth can participate.
Each Lee camp is handled separately by individual directors. Specific information for each camp is found below. Registration deadlines vary, but some are quickly approaching. Please contact camp organizers for specific information about camp costs and to secure a spot.
Boys Basketball Academy
Lee Men’s Basketball Coach Tommy Brown is offering his Lee University Boys Basketball Academy this year on two separate weeks. The camp’s skilled staff includes former players, current players and coaches. Campers will be instructed in ball handling, shooting, dribbling, defense and rebounding. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. The cost is $135 with sibling discounts available.

Women’s Basketball Team Camp
The Lee Women’s Basketball Team will host a camp for middle and high school teams. Teams are welcome to commute or enjoy an overnight camp experience on the Lee campus.

Marty Rowe Skills and Drills
The Lady Flames will provide a week of individual basketball skill work. Camp will include fundamental skill development, footwork, games, contests and more. The cost is $135, $125 if registered before May 15, and includes lunch and a t-shirt. Sibling discounts are available.

Prospect Baseball Camp
Campers will receive skill instruction and will participate in a pro-style instructional workout prior to playing a live game. Coaches will be on the field for instruction throughout the games. Cost for each camper is $135 (work out at 1 position) or $160 (2 positions). Coaches from Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Middle Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Austin Peay State, Kennesaw State and Lee University will be giving hands-on coaching and game instruction. Sessions are identical, therefore, prospects should only sign up for one.

Lee University Baseball Camps
Day Camp
This day camp is conducted by the Lee University baseball staff and players. Fundamentals stressed include hitting, bunting, throwing, defense, and base running. Games will be played each day. The cost is $110 ($190 for two siblings). Team rates available.

Advanced Hitting/Pitching/Catching Camp
This camp offers advanced instruction on the fundamentals of hitting, pitching, and catching. The cost is $70 for hitting, $55 for pitching or catching, or $110 for both sessions.

Summer Golf Academy
The Lee University Summer Golf Academy is recommended for elementary and middle school-aged students seeking to improve their overall golf skills. Each golfer will be exposed to the basic techniques of golf that will help them succeed at the middle school, high school, and junior events. Regardless of the golfer’s current level of ability, players will receive personal attention and instruction from all instructors. The cost is $125 per camper.

Soccer Camp
Lee Soccer Camp provides a fun, educational camp environment with quality, caring coaches to help children develop the fundamentals of the game starting with footwork. Daily games, contests, and enthusiastic learning make for an enjoyable week of soccer for young players. Lunch will be provided.

Women’s Soccer Camp
The Lee Women’s Soccer Camp is a physically challenging but rewarding camp environment for players wanting to develop both technically and tactically. Along with two training session per day, players will play in competitive full field 11v11 games in the evening. All sessions will be coached by some of the finest college coaches in the southeast. The price of camp for residential campers is $375.00, or for commuters $250.00.

Team Residential Soccer Camp
Lee Team Residential Soccer Camp is an elite camp for high school teams and individual players who wish to develop the technical and tactical knowledge to move on to the next level. Daily competitive games will be played with teams and select players. This is a residential or commuter camp.

Kay McDaniel Tennis Clinics
The fundamentals of tennis will be taught along with agility and footwork skills through group instructions. There are many games and competitions. Prizes are given every day with special honors given at an awards ceremony on clinic’s last day. Christian character is heavily emphasized. There is an expressed biblical theme for the week and personal stories are shared each day demonstrating how to overcome obstacles. The clinics are staffed with over 35 instructors and are directed by a player who was a World’s Top 30 Player on Professional Circuit for six years, played Wimbledon and U.S. and competed against legends of game (Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova, Christ Evert and Steffi Graf). The clinics are free, but space is limited and spots fill quickly.

Summer Art Camp
Professional art teachers, along with an aide, will develop lesson plans where the students acquire art related information and create projects related to the lessons. Students will keep all the projects they make during the week. The cost is $75 per student with a sibling discount. There is a $25 non-refundable deposit.

Music Camp
Lee University Music Camp is for students who are vocalists and instrumentalists desiring an in-depth study of music. Five tracks of participation are offered: The Music Lovers Track, The College Prep Track, The Piano Track, The Jazz Track, and The Worship Leader Track. In each of these tracks, the campers participate in an ensemble, as well as study music theory and history along with private or specialized study in their desired performance area. Members of the Lee faculty and visiting professionals serve as faculty for the camp. Early registration (before June 1) is $25. The remainder of the camp fee is $495 making a total $520. After June 1, the registration fee is $50. A non-resident option is an early application fee of $25 and a $325 camp cost with a total of $350.

Summer Honors
For nearly 30 years, Lee University has sponsored a one-of-a-kind college experience for academically talented high school juniors and seniors. This two-week program is an authentic encounter that prepares students to face the academic and social challenges of college life. Students also receive a head start on their college careers by earning six hours of academic credit. While outside of the classroom, students will experience a wide variety of social activities they can expect to find at Lee. For the approximately 120 students selected to participate, Summer Honors is two weeks to learn, grow, laugh, and connect. Students wishing to participate must possess a 3.2 grade point average or have a score of 24 on the ACT or 1120 on the SAT.

Theatre Camps
Elementary Theatre Camp
Elementary Theatre Camp, taught by trained Lee students and supervised by Lee Theatre faculty, gives elementary students a great first taste of theatre with an active and engaging opportunity to gain self-confidence, poise and great memories. The camp will culminate in a performance by the students. The cost is $175 per child.

Middle/High School Theatre Camp
The Middle/High School Theatre Camp will be equal parts laughing and learning. Students will be trained in the skills of improv comedy under theatre professor Dan Buck who leads Lee’s own improv team. In addition, students will have the chance to sink their teeth into acting scenes led by Dr. Christine Williams. The two-week experience will culminate with a performance of scenes and improv games that will impress and delight friends and relatives. The cost is $175 per child.
