The International Women’s Day (IWD) Poster Session is coming up, and Lee University is encouraging students to present their research on any women-related issue.

This is the second annual IWD student poster presentation. The event will be an interdisciplinary forum where participants can speak up, promote awareness and join the conversation.

“I am super excited about the IWD Poster Session 2016,” said Dr. Ana Alves, assistant professor of political science. “We don’t want our students to be only spectators. We want to be active participants in bringing transformation and healing to society.”

The event is set to take place in the Great Room of the Science and Math Complex from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16. All submissions are due by Feb. 19, but Dr. Alves is asking students to contact her as soon as possible.

Cash prizes will be awarded.
