Sodexo and Lee Celebrate New Dining

News

On Thursday August 25, Sodexo presented a Grand Opening for new food vendors on Lee University’s campus. Following the 10:40 a.m. chapel service, Lee students and the Cleveland community joined in the celebratory opening of Einstein Bros. Bagels, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Subway.

The procession was led across campus by a dancing Subway sandwich, cup of coffee, fork and spoon. The event was held on the lawn of the Science and Math Complex, home of the new Dunkin’ Donuts. Students enjoyed free samples and t-shirts, music, and a dunkin’ booth for dousing school administrators.

University president Dr. Paul Conn led the ribbon cutting, along with Cleveland Mayor Tom Rowland, Tenn. State Representative Kevin Brooks, City Councilman George Poe, Lee Vice President of Business and Finance Chris Conine, Sodexo district manager Celia Daniel and retail manager Kelvin Tarukwasha.

“This was a big day,” said Conine. “It all started with asking the students what they wanted. Today they got what they asked for.” But it doesn’t end there.

“As the Lee University campus continues to thrive and grow, so will the services that Sodexo seeks to offer,” Conine said. “We are pleased with our partnership with Sodexo and their continued commitment of providing cutting-edge dining options for our students.”
