This Saturday, Oct. 5, the Lee University chapter of Sigma Tau Delta will host an undergraduate literary symposium where students will have a chance to share their writing with other students and professors. The conference will be held in the Humanities Center, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

This year’s conference will be the largest Lee has ever held, featuring 55 submissions and hosting 52 students from 12 different colleges and universities. The students participating will read their own submissions and also have the opportunity to listen to the writings of their peers.

There will be three sessions at the top of each hour, each one comprising six panels. A plenary session at noon will feature Dr. Carolyn Dirksen, distinguished professor of English and director of faculty development at Lee.

The literary works to be featured include both creative and critical writing, with topics ranging from Fantasy Fiction to the Romantic Era. In each session, there will be a mixture of creative and critical panels, so there will be options for students to participate in both.
