The Lee University School of Music will present the Senior Honors Concert on Monday, Nov. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Squires Recital Hall, featuring performers selected by School of Music faculty from the entire senior class. 
 
“Each year the School of Music solicits nominations of outstanding senior performers from our faculty,” said Dr. Douglas Warner, director of applied studies at Lee. “Students who are nominated are invited to audition for the Senior Honors Concert. Through that audition process, the faculty have selected 10 students who embody the talent and dedication to their craft for which Lee University is known.”
 
The vocalists performing include sopranos Emily Farley, Bronwyn Paladin, and Paige Parmelee.
 
The instrumentalists performing include saxophonists Jared Anderson and Blake Smith, violinists Arami Antunez and Daphne Jiang, pianists Garrett Miller and Mansfield Yiu, and trombonist Evan Kramer.
   
Composers whose music will be represented include familiar names such as Mozart, Saints-Seans, Menotti, Mendelssohn, Donizetti, and Rodgers. Selections from sacred and operatic aria, contemporary jazz, modern and romantic instrumental pieces, and tango round out the program with a variety of styles.
 
“This concert is a meaningful moment for our seniors, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for the community to experience the passion, hard work, and sheer artistry these students have poured into their craft,” said Dr. Jesse McConnell, director of music events at Lee. “We hope everyone will come out and enjoy an evening of excellent music from some very dedicated students.”
 
This is a free, non-ticketed event, and open to the public. Squires Recital Hall is located in Lee’s Humanities Center, located on Paul Conn Parkway.
