Faculty Gala

Lee University’s School of Music will present the Faculty Gala featuring Lee’s vocal and instrumental faculty on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall.

“You’re going to see a very diverse program this year,” said Dr. Lenena Brezna, associate professor of voice at Lee and event coordinator. “The gala is always one of the highlights of the year for the faculty, and we’re so excited to present this to our students and community.”

The Faculty Gala will showcase a variety of vocal and instrumental pieces, such as “The Choirmaster’s Burial” from Benjamin Britten’s “Winter Words, Op. 52,” “Intrada” by Otto Ketting, and “Tango Fantasia” by Jacob Gade and Toke Lund Christiansen.

The vocal performances will be presented by Brezna, soprano; Andrea Dismukes, mezzo-soprano; James Frost, tenor; and Debbie Sheeks, soprano.

The instrumental performances will feature Steve Brannen, guitar; Barkey Bryant, trumpet; Will Duncan, bass; Aaron Forde, drums; Josh Holritz, violin; Kristen Holritz, flute; Garrett Miller, piano; Shawn Perkinson, guitar; Randy Sheeks, piano; Mary Beth Wickes, piano; Alan Wyatt, saxophone; and Matthew Zalusky, piano.
