Phil Wickham Next U-Church Guest
Lee University will host acclaimed singer/song-writer, Phil Wickham, as part of the continuing U-Church season. This next event will be in Conn Center, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m.
Influenced by the musicianship of his parents, Wickham learned to play the guitar at age 12, playing mostly three-chord worship songs, and later led his junior high youth group in songs that he had written.
Wickham would launch his music career by recording his first of seven albums, Give You My World, and touring California to promote it.
Recent reviews have praised Wickham’s latest album, Response. ChristianMusicReview.org stated, “You will be inspired to worship along with this gorgeous, serene music as you contemplate the goodness of God and His glory and power.”
The San Diego, Calif., native has acquired a devoted fan-base. Wickham’s hope for his listeners is for “inspiration to look outside of themselves and their circumstance to the world around them and truly worship God.”
U-Church is a free, non-ticketed event for students, alumni, and the community.
