The Lee University History Department and Phi Alpha Theta announced on Tuesday the completion of the first volume of the Lee Historian.

The Lee Historian is a student compilation of primary and secondary source research papers and provides history students at Lee University the opportunity to become published at the undergraduate level. A wide selection of papers was submitted to a committee of students who worked closely with an advising professor to select the highest quality papers for publication.

The first volume includes papers on a variety of topics including the ratification of the Constitution of the United States, the Alamo, Mail-Order Brides in the West, and the purchase of Alaska.

Organizers plan to publish a new volume each school year.
