Musician Sanchez to Perform in Chapel Tomorrow

News

Lee University welcomes Grammy-nominated, Dove award winning worship leader and Christian recording artist Ricardo Sanchez to the Conn Center stage tomorrow at 10:40 a.m. during the regularly scheduled chapel service.

Sanchez, who is based in Atlanta, is known as one of the nation’s most preeminent worship leaders. Having authored and co-authored songs such as Moving Forward, I Call Your Name, and Power of the Cross, Sanchez has received notable radio play.

Music students from Lee will also be featured on-stage with Sanchez, assisting with back-up vocals during worship.

Sanchez is currently a publishing artist with Integrity Music, and has toured or partnered with many Grammy, Stellar, and Dove award winning artists such as Salvador, Israel Houghton, Hezekiah Walker, Rebecca St. James, and many others.

“The music of Ricardo Sanchez is anointed for this generation and his sincere heart for God is clearly evident through his songwriting,” said Darlene Zschech, Worship Pastor for Hillsong Church.

Sanchez served as the worship leader for Pastor Jentezen Franklin for more than four years prior to his launch into full-time missions. His latest vision for ministry is Windows 2 Worship, a mission to churches around the world.

Another outreach mission for Sanchez is the recently launched Ricardo Ministries, designed as a practical outlet to meet the physical and spiritual needs of his audiences.

As a frequent guest at his home church, Free Chapel, Sanchez stays connected with the local church body along with his wife Jennette and their three sons.

The chapel service is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Office of Campus Ministries at 423-614-8420.
