Marimba Madness this Monday

News

Lee University School of Music will present “Marimba
Madness” on
Monday, March 3, at 8 p.m.

The concert will feature students of Dr. Andy
Harnsberger performing some of today’s most popular works written for the
marimba.

Kevin Bobo, the guest artist previously scheduled to appear at the concert, will be unable to attend due to inclement weather up north.

Harnsberger currently serves as an assistant professor of music
and percussion coordinator at Lee and is active throughout the year as a
freelance percussionist and recitalist. He is a performing artist and clinician
for Pearl Drums and Adams Musical Instruments, Innovative Percussion, Inc.,
Evans Drum Heads, Sabian Cymbals, Ltd., and Grover Pro Percussion.

The concert is a free, non-ticketed event and is open to the
public. It will be held at Squires Recital Hall in Lee’s Humanities Center on
Parker Street.
