Lady Flames to Hold Volley for a Cure Friday

The Lee University Lady Flames volleyball team will host the 18th annual Volley for a Cure match on Friday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m. in the Paul Dana Walker Arena. The team will face off against the University of Montevallo Falcons.
The event aims to help bring awareness to breast cancer and raise money to support a student who is a family member of someone impacted by cancer. This year, the proceeds will go to Britain Sapp, a local high school senior planning to attend Lee next year. There will be a presentation honoring Sapp and her family before the match begins.
“The Volley for a Cure match has always held a special place in my heart,” said Lee Volleyball Coach Christa Fabre. “It is a longstanding tradition where we get to celebrate survivors, bring awareness, and provide aid to someone who has been impacted by the devastating wave of cancer.”
The volleyball team will sell pink T-shirts for $15 with 100% of the profits going toward Sapp and her family. Shirts can also be purchased in advance from any member of the volleyball team or by contacting Kayla Louie, assistant to athletic operations, at [email protected].
In the lobby of the arena during the game, a “Pink Party” will take place and feature a photo booth, games, and other activities organized by Phi Gamma Delta.
