Ladies of Lee to Present “Living Water” in Concert Tuesday

Events, Music, News

Lee University’s Ladies of Lee, directed by Dr. Cameron Weatherford, will present its spring concert “Living Water” on Tuesday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall.

“Our concert this year is themed around Living Water from John 4,” said Weatherford, assistant professor of choral music. “Not only do we see how Jesus uses the analogy of water in this passage, but the Bible is full of imagery regarding water to remind us of who God is. The Ladies of Lee are using these ideas to shape their concert this year, and we are thrilled to present this to our audience.”

The concert will feature songs such as “O Love” by Elaine Hagenberg, “Wade in the Water,” arranged by Kevin Philip Johnson, and “Come Thou Fount,” arranged by Jay Richards.

The Ladies of Lee consists of approximately 55 women from a variety of undergraduate programs. Along with conducting Ladies of Lee, Weatherford also conducts Choral Union and teaches graduate and undergraduate classes in choral music and conducting.

This concert is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public.
