Ladies of Lee, Spring 2025

Ladies of Lee, directed by Dr. Cameron Weatherford, will present its spring concert “Come to the Table” on Tuesday, March 31, at 6 p.m. in The Cornerstone Chapel.

“The Lord invites us all to have a seat at His table, and this concert will sing of that in many ways,” said Weatherford, assistant professor of choral music. “Whether you are searching, lost, or near to the Lord, there is a place for you, and the Ladies of Lee want to sing pieces that encourage this.”

The concert will feature several pieces that center around the idea of all being welcome at the table of the Lord — “the wayfaring stranger, the sinner, and the believer are all welcome!”

“This year’s performance centers around the invitation found in our theme ‘Come to the Table,’” said Elizabeth Kirby, senior health science major with a graphic design minor and president of Ladies of Lee. “We are excited to celebrate the reminder that no matter what is happening in our lives, we are all welcome to come to the table and worship the Lord through music.”

Ladies of Lee consists of 42 women from a variety of undergraduate programs. Along with conducting Ladies of Lee, Weatherford also conducts Chorale and teaches graduate and undergraduate classes in choral music and conducting.

This concert is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public. Livestream viewing will be available on leeu.live
