The Ladies of Lee will present its fall concert on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall.

This year’s program, “Children, Exiles, and Trees,” will feature a variety of sacred music including an energetic anthem based on Psalm 47, a folk song, a spiritual, and a traditional hymn.

“This concert will highlight three particular biblical images – children, exiles, and trees – with an eclectic mix of music designed to inspire and encourage faithful living,” said Dr. Randy Sheeks, associate professor of music at Lee. “It will be 30 minutes full of heartfelt and meaningful music.”

The Ladies of Lee is directed by Randy and Debbie Sheeks. Debbie is an adjunct vocal instructor. This husband and wife team began directing the group in the fall of 2018.

The Ladies of Lee is a female choral ensemble committed to God, to each other, and excellence in music and ministry through the high-quality presentation of diverse choral repertoire in worship and concert settings, serving as inspired and passionate ambassadors for Lee University and the Kingdom of God. The all-female group has enjoyed a thriving history of choral music for over 50 years, performing in churches, schools, and other venues throughout the United States and abroad.

In the interest of everyone’s health and safety, masks and temperature screenings will be required at the live event.

The event is free, but due to COVID-19 capacity regulations, seating is limited, and tickets are required and can be found on Showclix.

The performance will also be available for live stream viewing.
