Faculty and Staff to Play Basketball for Great Strides
Lee University will host its 2nd Annual Faculty and Staff Basketball Tournament, a campus-wide fundraiser for Great Strides in the fight against cystic fibrosis. The tournament will be held on Tuesday, April 3 at 6 p.m. in the Paul Dana Walker Arena.
Themed “Uno Mas,” or “one more” basketball game, this special tournament brings together Lee’s faculty and staff for a night of fun and entertainment to raise funds for an important cause.
The tournament will feature eight faculty and staff teams that will face off in single elimination games, ending with a highly-contested championship final between the top two teams.
All proceeds will go toward Lee’s Great Strides team, which raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s research and care programs.
Admittance is free, but donations are encouraged and will be accepted at the door. Free pizza and drinks will be served.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) has been the driving force behind the pursuit of a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, a disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of more than 10 million Americans. Since its inception, the Lee University Great Strides event has raised over $478,000 for the foundation.
