Evening of Worship this Sunday

News

Lee University will hold its final U-Church of the semester in the Conn Center on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. The Evening of Worship allows students the opportunity to worship corporately outside the normal chapel format.

The student-led service is directed by Dr. Brad Moffett, an assistant professor of music, with worship leaders selected by Moffett and Josh York, Director of Facilities Management.

Many of the students leading worship have been involved with chapel service music in some capacity throughout the semester.

As part of the service, there will also be an opportunity to receive communion.

The theme of the evening is, “How the work of Christ leads us to a life of service.” Scripture focus will be Romans 12:4-5, “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, through many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

U-Church is designed as a service for students, but alumni and friends from the community are always welcome.
