Dr. Ravi Zacharias to Speak at U-Church

Dr. Ravi Zacharias, a well-known Christian apologist, teacher, author, and orator, will speak in the Lee University Conn Center on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m., for the second U-Church service this fall.

Zacharias has spoken all over the world and at numerous universities. He has addressed writers of the peace accord in South Africa, the president’s cabinet and parliament in Peru, military officers in Moscow, and leaders in the seats of
government in Ottawa, Canada, and London, England.

He has also represented the evangelical community at occasions such as the National Day of Prayer in Washington, DC; the Annual Prayer Breakfast at the United Nations; and the African Union Prayer Breakfast in Mozambique; and was named chairman of the 2008 National Day of Prayer task force.

Zacharias is the founder and chairman of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM), a global team of itinerant speakers headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., with offices throughout the world. RZIM was founded in 1984 by Zacharias and supports a fourfold vision of evangelism, apologetics, spiritual disciplines, and training.

In addition to RZIM, Zacharias is the host of the weekly radio program, “Let My People Think,” aired on more than 1700 outlets worldwide, and his weekday program, “Just Thinking,” on over 400. He has authored numerous books, including Gold Medallion Book Award winner Can Men Live Without God?, and bestsellers Light in the Shadow of Jihad and The Grand Weaver.

Zacharias studied as a visiting scholar at Cambridge University and was chair in Evangelism and Contemporary Thought at Alliance Theological Seminary from 1981 to 1984. He is currently a visiting professor at Wycliffe Hall of Oxford University, where he teaches apologetics and evangelism.
