Under the direction of Dr. Cameron Weatherford, the Lee University Chorale will present a spring concert focused on the characteristics of God on Tuesday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall.
 
The program will include selections such as “Prayer of St. Patrick” by Ross Bernhardt, “Fix Me Jesus” by Brandon Waddles, and “Mama Said” by Paul Rardin.
 
“We wanted to shape a program that reflects who God is across a variety of musical styles and traditions,” said Weatherford. “Whether through classical works or more contemporary pieces, each selection points to His greatness, holiness, and faithfulness.”
 
Guest performers for the evening will include the Walker Valley Chamber Singers, directed by Tristen Rowland.
 
In addition to directing Chorale, Weatherford serves as assistant professor of choral music, director of the Ladies of Lee, and teaches courses in undergraduate and graduate choral music curricula. He has conducted award-winning ensembles at both the secondary and collegiate levels for more than a decade and has served as an adjudicator nationally and internationally.
 
Weatherford holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in choral conducting from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Music in choral conducting from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a Bachelor of Music in church music from Louisiana College.
 
The Lee University Chorale is known for its diverse repertoire, spanning sacred classical works, spirituals, and cultural pieces. The ensemble has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and has toured throughout Europe, with performances at the Vatican, St. Mark’s Cathedral in Venice, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin.
