News

Lee University’s Choral Union will present its fall concert, “My Song in the Night,” under the direction of Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Cameron LaBarr on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lee Chapel. Assistant conductor Lamprini Lindeman will also be conducting on the concert.

The concert will feature Gabriel Fauré’s “Requiem,” Benjamin Britten’s “Jubilate Deo,” a medieval chant arranged by an Irish composer, and the world premiere of Assistant Professor of Music Dr. John Wykoff’s setting of “Give Me Jesus” for mixed chorus, among other works.

Mary Beth Wickes will accompany the choir on the piano and organ.

Choral Union performs choral music and major works for mixed chorus and consists of both music majors and non-music majors. In April 2013, Choral Union performed as a featured ensemble at the Tennessee Music Education Association Annual Conference in Chattanooga.

Due to limited seating, tickets are required, but are available free of charge at the Dixon Center Box Office from 3-6 p.m. or by calling 423-614-8343.
