Auditions for the fall semester of Lee University’s Children’s Chorale will be held Sept. 8, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Curtsinger School of Music’s Instrumental Rehearsal Room.

The Lee University Children’s Chorale is a great opportunity for students in grades 1 through 7 to be involved in a community ensemble committed to excellence. Students will be encouraged to grow both as musicians and singers throughout rehearsal and to enjoy performing music that will challenge and inspire them.

The Children’s Chorale is excited to begin a new season under the direction of Joshua Wenger and Victoria (Betts) Boler.

Wenger is a recent graduate from Lee University’s Master’s in Music Education program. He states that he will “bring energy and enthusiasm born from his love for music and teaching.” Wenger will be direct the Grades 4-7 choir, and Boler will work with Grades 1-3.

Auditions will be scheduled in 8-minute segments and will involve a song that the student is familiar with from school or church, pitch matching, and range exploration.

Tuition for the ensemble is $100 with discounts available for families with two or more students involved.
