Business Department Hosts 8th Annual Accounting Gala

News

On Tuesday, Sept. 2, the Lee University Department of Business hosted the 8th annual gala for junior and senior accounting majors. More than 110 business professionals, representatives, and students filled Lee’s Centenary Room for this event.

The Accounting Gala gives accounting students from Lee’s Business Department and representatives from numerous local companies an opportunity to meet in a professional business setting.

“This event benefits both our students and the community, providing career opportunities and professional engagements,” said Dr. Randy Miedaner, assistant professor of business at Lee.

Dr. Phillip Rickard and Miedaner, both accounting professors at Lee, addressed the crowd at the event. Miedaner encouraged the students to reach out to the insights of the business professionals for their experience and mentoring opportunities. Rickard spoke about the quality of Lee students.
