Bradley County Day at the Hunter This Sunday

Lee University faculty, staff, students, along with their families, are invited to join the residents of Cleveland and Bradley County on Sunday, Oct. 7 at the Hunter Museum of American Art in celebration of Bradley County Day. The event will begin at noon and end at 4:30 p.m.

Guests of the museum will be able to explore the Hunter’s vast collection of artwork as well as the “Chattanooga Gems III” exhibition on loan from private collections in the region. The day will also feature performances by two of Lee University’s music ensembles, the Jazz Ensemble and Voices of Lee.

The Lee Jazz Ensemble, directed by assistant professor of music Alan Wyatt, will perform at 1:00 p.m. The ensemble, including saxophones, rhythm, trumpets, and trombones, performs traditional Big Band music.

The Voices of Lee, directed by Danny Murray, is a 16-member a cappella ensemble known for their vocal harmonies and high-energy performances. Voices will perform at 3:00 p.m.

In addition to these performances, there will also be gallery explorations and kids’ crafts. Admission to the museum will be free.
