Lee University will host an alumni lecture on Thursday, Sep. 23, at 6 p.m. featuring Lee alumni Elliott Potter and Jared Mattsson in Pangle Hall on Lee’s campus.

Potter and Mattsson, both 2015 Lee graduates, are the founders of Linq, an innovative company that provides a contactless way to network and connect with customers. They will share their story of entrepreneurial success, followed by a Q&A session.

“Elliott Potter and Jared Mattsson inspire us with their creativity, entrepreneurship, professional accomplishments, and contributions to our global society,” said Dr. Susan Ashcraft, director of alumni relations at Lee. “They are perfect examples of the high quality, real-world education students receive at Lee and the ways in which our programs prepare our students to become world-changers.”

While at Lee, Potter was a music business major, and Mattsson was a business administration major. After graduating, they both started working at Shipt, a grocery delivery business, until they and fellow co-founder and friend Patrick Sullivan started Linq.

Linq is a digital business card, and users can build a customizable professional webpage and share it straight to someone’s smartphone using one of Linq’s smart products. In addition to contact information, consumers can use Linq to share videos and links to websites and social media accounts, and even accept payments. Over 8,000 companies use Linq, including Google, Tesla, and Verizon.

The event is free to the community, and livestream will be available via Facebook and at https://leeu.live.

Lee University remains dedicated to the health and safety of both the campus community and guests. Currently, according to CDC recommendations, masks are required when indoors on Lee’s campus.
