Art Gallery displays the work of alumni from the art program.

The Lee University Alumni Art Exhibition will be on display in the new Lee University Art Gallery, located inside Squires Library, and will run through Wednesday, Nov. 7.

The Alumni Art Exhibition features over 35 pieces from Lee alumni who graduated as art majors. It also includes pieces from students who participated in the art program before the major was established in 2011.

“It is exciting to see work from alumni coming together,” said Mary Mathias-Dickerson, associate professor of art at Lee. “We are a newer major, and it’s gratifying to see the beginnings of an artistic legacy forming at the university. Our graduates are producing amazing artwork and doing all kinds of interesting things in the world.”

The Lee University Art Gallery is open during normal library hours, from 8 a.m.-midnight, Mon.-Thurs., 8 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, 12-8 p.m. on Saturday, and 1-9 p.m. on Sunday.

The Lee University Art Gallery’s next exhibit will be the senior showcase, which will begin Friday, Nov. 9 with a reception on Friday, Nov. 16.
