Today at 5 p.m. Lee University service club Alpha Gamma Chi will attempt the world’s longest continuous flag football game, “THE GRIDIRON.” Funds raised by the endeavor will go to Build a City, a project developed by Cleveland-based nonprofit People for Care and Learning to benefit the Andong community in Cambodia. The game, which is sponsored by Murmaid Mattress, will be filmed and officially logged in compliance with the Guinness Book of World Records submission standards. Chi members will play the first 48 hours on Lee’s Souther Field located on the corner of 20th and Parker streets. The final two hours will be played Saturday, 5-7 p.m., on Lee’s soccer field.
